 **What is your academic background? What research experience did you have before grad school?**

 *I am a first year student at BIG who graduated from Dartmouth College this past June with a double major in Biology and Mathematics. In my undergraduate career, I worked on several projects that involved mathematical models of cancers. Here at Harvard, I am really interested in studying translational genomics of human diseases.*

 **Why did you choose BIG?**

 *I chose to join BIG because of the breadth of resources the department has to offer as well as the program’s focus on using bioinformatics to improve human health.*

 **How do you like living in Boston? What do you do when you are not working?**

 *Boston is a wonderful city, and I have loved living here. It has the intimacy of a small town but also the resources of a big city. When I’m not working and taking classes, I love to cook and bake!*
