We aim to understand how transcription factors (TFs) ensure adequate and timely gene expression in human development. To do this, we combine chemical genetic tools to quantitatively manipulate TF function, sequence-to-activity deep learning approaches, and human pluripotent stem cell-based modeling. Our goal is to shed light on the numerous disorders caused by quantitative TF disruptions and leverage these insights to improve the precision and effectiveness of cell therapies.
