**What is your academic background? What research experience did you have before grad school?**

I entered the BIG program right after graduating from college with a BA in biology and in computer science from Cornell University. My previous research (all of which was computational) has involved integrating EHR and disease registry research data at Boston Children's Hospital to inform genomic studies of patient cohorts, investigating differential heritability of complex diseases across populations using public GWAS data, as well as data warehouse and tool development. I am interested in applications of computational methods for result-oriented and medically relevant disease genomics.
